A French History.

After the trip to the United States, Fred LIP returns to Europe persuaded of the future of the electric watch. It is a real technical challenge. March 19, 1952, at the Academy of Sciences of Paris. The prototype of the first electric wrist watch in the world is presented by Fred LIP. This innovation represents Fred LIP's "masterpiece of chronometry and quality". The watch equipped with the revolutionary movement R27 will be marketed in 1958. Fred LIP is proud to offer in avant-premiere this avant-garde watch to General De Gaulle, and subsequently to General Eisenhower. Thus, the model called "General de Gaulle" is the fruit of ten years of research carried out with efficiency and passion to develop the first electric watch that consists of the first step towards quartz watches.
